I bought the entire Far album and some songs from her older ones. I never even flippin' knew about her before you told me. Now I can't stop listening to her music. XP
I told my dad "her music is an aquired taste." lmao.

I knew it would happen!
One day, my constant Regina-related gushing had to have some kind of impact. Yes, she's an acquired taste. But she is an especially delicious acquired taste if you give her half a chance. She'll just charm the pants right off of you. I mean, the first time I heard Fidelity, I was not a fan.

Is Far not fabulous though? I did the whole stay up until 12, listen to it for five hours straight even though I'd had the CD for about a week before it was actually released in the US. The conversation between my father and I went like this, repeatedly:

Him: Why are you staying up, don't you already have all the songs?
Me: Well, yes, but not the bonus tracks.
Him: But isn't that like... three songs?
Me: Well, yes...
Him: And isn't one of them an old old song that's getting rereleased?
Me: Well... technically...
Him: And didn't you hear one of them live last week?
Me: Maybe...
Him: So that leaves one song you haven't heard?
Me: Well... I guess...

He just doesn't understand!

I figured I would eventually end up liking her, the Reginasaurus song you first showed me was was too cute. XD

But, christ, I'm seriously mourning the death of MJ, who died right after the Far album came out. So sometimes when I'm listening to it, I randomly start crying on the sadder songs. Me and my best friend, her family, and my family absolutely LOVED him. We used to spend entire sleepovers watching his music videos. lmfao, it was wonderfully pathetic.

God, you have no idea how depressed I've been, he was such an amazing talent and a wonderful [even though a bit messed up] person.

Yeah, he had his issues, but he was still the king of pop. I can't pretend to be a hardcore MJ fan, but it certainly was a loss. I'll make you a nice Micheal Jackson cake to help you feel better.

Regina's songs are good for crying about random bits of life to. Somehow, her songs just drag the emotion right out of you. Especially the live recordings of older songs that are just so... raw.
